Sexy Belly Dancer Costume
I Dream of Genie Sexy Belly Dancer Costume
Wearing a Sexy Belly Dancer Costume to meet my boyfriend’s parents for the first time possibly wasn’t the smartest thing I’ve ever done. And a Halloween fancy dress party held at their house possibly want the most ideal situation either. But they had invited Jack and I as their special guests and were very keen to meet the person who had distracted their son so intently for the past six weeks.
To blame the Sexy Belly Dancer Costume would be wrong. For goodness sake it started off as being a Genie in a Bottle kind of idea. I could look attractive and show off enough of my ‘bits’ to keep Jack interested….. yet include a floaty, soft veil to keep myself modest in front of his mum and dad.
Friends suggested that it was way too soon in our relationship to be meeting parents just yet and that instead of a Sexy Belly Dancer costume maybe I should wear a nice girl-next-door Snow White outfit. It was true - I barely knew Jack but I didn’t care because I’d already decided he was The One.
Of course I was a nervous wreck leading up to the party there’s no denying that. I primped and preened and had hair, nail and teeth appointments all coordinated to revolve precisely around party night. And then there was the tanning incident…
Wearing this Sexy Belly Dancer costume of course meant I had to have the deep Middle Eastern etched-in natural-looking suntan to match. And seeing that I was currently a, whiter than the whitest shade of white, kind of white meant I had to get my deep Middle Eastern etched-in natural-looking suntan, sprayed on. And for optimum effect I decided to leave this until the actual day of the party.
What was I thinking? But you see it in the magazines all the time, people just pop off to the salon and come out glowing don’t they? But I’d never done the spray tan thing before, and when she asked what shade did Madam fancy…. Madam said DARK PLEASE.
Actually the bottle said “chocolate royale” – good enough to eat I laughed as she sprayed away liberally. Oh the naivety!
Did you know it was customary in the Middle East to wear a cardigan with a Sexy Belly Dancer costume? A large, long, orange cardy – TO MATCH THE GLOWING ORANGE HUE OF MY SKIN!
Where was the chocolate royale I was promised? Oh it fades down to chocolatey after a few days she said. A FEW DAYS!!!
Needless to say my Sexy Belly Dancer costume was a catastrophe. And so was the entire evening. His mum and dad were embarrassed for me. Their bloody dog ran from me and worse still, Jack spent the whole night laughing at me and making awful ‘pumpkin’ jokes. Turns out he wasn’t The One after all.
I looked exotic, seductive and beautiful in my Sexy Belly Dancer costume…. but I was orange.
In hind sight, Id started off as the perfect colour to be Snow White after all
