Sexy Costumes, Sexy Fancy Dress Costumes
Sexy costumes make us look sexy. And if we look sexy, then that means we must be sexy. That’s the logic we use when we wear sexy clothes, so therefore it must also be the logic when we wear sexy fancy dress costumes. You are what you wear, right? But why do we do this crazy, almost instinctive, primeval routine? Are we afraid to be seen as not trying? Is it more important to look sexy, than it is to look decent and to be comfortable? Answer: yes!
Sexy costumes will be worn at any cost and to hell with common sense. On a freezing cold night in the middle of July, women will wear skimpy, flesh-revealing sexy costumes to a party over one that would prevent them from getting hypothermia, any day. We insist on wearing our sexy costumes because there’s that hot guy we’ve had our eye on – he will be there. It is imperative you look sexy and alluring so you can be noticed by him. Not even a minus two degree frost and snow on the ground will stop you from wearing your sexy costume to this party!
Is that why we wear sexy costumes? To attract a mate? God, are we that transparent that we are willing to forgo practicality and the chance of fun… in the name of looking as stunningly hot as we can and showing off as many of our good bits that we think we have? Just so we can be noticed by a potential lover? Answer (again): Yes!
Sexy costumes give us such a strong sense of empowerment, perhaps that’s why we will always wear them. We are even willing to compromise ourselves and our morals to look as sexy as we can. No matter how intelligent we are, we will always choose the sexy Elf costume over the stuffy old Mrs Santa outfit every time. The cute, yet saucy Fairy costume will always win over the fuddy-duddy Fairy Godmother suit; the hot Daphne (not the nerdy Velma) over the Scooby Doo costume, and on it goes.
Sexy costumes sometimes seem to be stylised versions of regular costumes. For example - a Police Woman costume that is true to an actual police uniform with long practical pants and sensible solid shoes. Instead we opt for the super sexed-up version with tight, sexy open-to-the-navel shirt and stilettos. Let’s see you try and ‘protect and serve’ in those ridiculous high heels! Although, maybe it depends on what you’re trying to protect – certainly not your dignity. And of course the baton and handcuffs are a must… we keep those don’t we. They just make the sexy costume look even sexier, espeically when teamed up with fishnets and a compulsory Police standard issue miniskirt… Answer (always): YES!
